EXIF Remover

Strip EXIF metadata from photos before sharing β€” keep the pixels, drop the data.

100% offline β€” files never leave this device. Want proof? Disconnect your internet, then use the tool. It still works.

How to use the exif remover

  1. Drop your photos into the box above β€” or click to browse. Files stay on this device.
  2. Adjust the options on the right. A live preview of the settings updates as you change them.
  3. Press the process button. The work happens inside your browser β€” you can even go offline first.
  4. Download each result, or grab them all as a single ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly gets removed?

Camera make/model, capture date, exposure settings, lens info, and crucially GPS coordinates and your name if the camera stored it. The visible picture is untouched.

Why offer a full re-encode?

Segment stripping removes standard EXIF. A full re-encode rebuilds the image from pixels only, wiping every kind of hidden metadata (EXIF, XMP, ICC, comments) β€” the nuclear option.

Do social networks already strip EXIF?

Most do when they re-compress uploads β€” but not always, not everywhere, and not for direct file transfers, email or chat β€œdocument” mode. Stripping before you send puts you in control.
