Frequently asked questions
How does face detection run offline?
It uses the browser’s built-in FaceDetector API where available (Chrome/Edge on desktop). If your browser lacks it, the tool applies the effect to a centered region — resize with the padding control, or use Pixelate for manual control.
Is blurring enough to hide a face?
For casual anonymization yes; for strong guarantees prefer “Black bar” mode, since blur can sometimes be reversed.
